QRI Targeted Advisory Services

QRI's Reservoir Characterization services encompasses geophysics, log analysis for non-conventional tools, and advanced petrophysical modeling, and gives our clients a deeper insight into the geophysical target of interest, an improved understanding of uncertainties and a fit-for-purpose work product. We provide geophysical interpretations and advice that can be applied to reservoir mapping and characterization, well planning, model construction, and uncertainty management. This diagnostic phase is undertaken by an integrated team of QRI geoscientists and engineers. The purpose of this phase will be to prioritize the work items to focus on during specialized studies.

GOALS

  • Maximize the efficient use of nonconventional logging tools
  • Overcome petrophysical challenges in reservoirs where there are characterization difficulties
  • Increase reserves based on corrected resistivity measurements
  • Advise and ensure static models are technical sound, self-consistent, physically constrained, representative, and appropriate
  • Make certain geological models will facilitate the construction of fit-for-purpose simulation models that are simple to maintain and capable of producing high-fidelity forecasts with reduced run times
  • Assess remaining oil saturation in a field
